STORAGE DEVICES

Storage holds data, instructions and information for future use.


Types of storage:
  • hard disk
  • flash memory storage
  • optical disks

INPUT DEVICES
Input is any data and instructions entered into the memory of a computer. An input device is any hardware component that allows user to enter data and instructions into a computer.
Examples:
  • keyboard
  • pointing devices
  • game controllers
  • digital cameras
  • voice input
  • video input, etc..

OUTPUT DEVICES
Output is data that has been processed into a useful form. An output device is any type of hardware component that conveys information to one or more people.
Examples:

  • display devices
  • printers
  • data projector
  • force feedback
  • audio output device
